"Oh, come on, nobody's cleverer than you," Caleb says with a grin. He laughs a little. "I didn't know the piano thing. Does he ever play, or is it one of those things that, like, his parents had him learn as a kid?" Some parents do that, he's pretty sure. His had always encouraged him to seek things he enjoyed, and they cultivated that, but they never forced him or Alice to take lessons just for the sake of having them.
