Rosie would've done this--and had, and would again should whatever Harry and Neil were doing come to a conclusion--regardless of any gap in age or lack thereof. It's only what she'd want someone to do for her, and only what she wishes someone might have done before she'd been so foolish just this last summer. To her mind, it made perfect sense.
