She'd asked it in the same way she says so many things; unguardedly, and without much thought for how it might sound once spoken aloud. It's an impulse she often regrets, one that's led her into arguments she didn't intend, but when Harry answers her honestly Rosie's glad she'd done it after all.

"Good," she says, punctuating the word with a nod. "He's one of my best friends, one of the first people I really called a friend here, and...I suppose I just want to make sure everyone thinks as well of him as I do. If not more."
